osteopathy-final.jpg

Osteopathic treatment typically involves the use of manipulative techniques applied to the muscles and joints of the body.

The range of techniques varies from thrust techniques that everybody hears about (cracking joints to you and me), rhythmic movement of joints to influence circulatory or fluid flow and soft tissue stretching through to gentle minimal traction and articulation movements and other indirect methods of creating a change.

As every patient is an individual it is important that your osteopath is able to call on a wide range of techniques so that their treatment is able to influence your symptoms and have you feeling better as quickly as possible.
