Ruth graduated with a BSc (Hons) in physiotherapy from Glasgow Caledonian University in 2023. Prior to becoming a physiotherapist, Ruth gained valuable experience as a sports massage therapist within the clinic. This background provided her with a strong foundation in hands-on therapeutic techniques and a deep understanding of musculoskeletal health, which she seamlessly integrated into her physiotherapy practice.
With a specialisation in musculoskeletal (MSK) and sports injuries, stroke, and neurological rehabilitation, Ruth’s expertise extends to working in various sports, including American football, football, and predominantly rugby. Ruth currently serves as the physiotherapist for Garnock RFC, who have celebrated two consecutive league wins and are presently competing in National 3. She has also contributed her skills to elite sporting environments, having worked with the professional rugby team Dragons RFC and presently with St Johnstone FC.
Ruth has a “hands on” approach to treatment and enjoys direct treatment as well as rehabilitation utilizing her physiotherapy experience as well as her post graduate training in Pilates.
Outside of her professional commitments, Ruth enjoys strength training in the gym, running, and practicing Pilates.
